Lymm

Well, here we are again at the start of another season, not got too many names down yet so if you can let me know ASAP if you’re attending this one I would really appreciate it chaps.

SUBS! If you haven’t paid them yet then please don’t forget to bring them with you to Lymm.

The course was originally laid out over 100 years ago on the side of the Manchester Ship Canal, Lymm was founded in 1907 and is one of the leading clubs in Cheshire. It boasts a course which will provide a challenge to golfers of all abilities and a club house which was rebuilt in 2007 during their centenary year, that offers a warm welcome after your round.  Both our course and clubhouse have recently won  prestigious awards. A significant programme of course improvements has been undertaken over the last few years to provide a challenge for golfers of all abilities.

The 6341 yard par 71 course is situated between the picturesque village of Lymm and the Manchester Ship Canal. The characteristics of the course vary from the heath-like top eight holes alongside the canal to a classic parkland layout nearer the village. Lymm is proud to have played host to several prestigious events in recent years including the 2005 English Seniors Amateur Open.

The three finishing holes are a real test of your golf and if you think your card is looking good and thoughts of a podium finish are sneaking into your head then beware along the 16th 17th & 18th, your card may not look so healthy back at the 19th if you treat them lightly!

The day starts with coffee and bacon butties so please be there for around 09:00 to assist with the smooth running of the tee offs, followed by 18 holes, first tee 10:00hrs and a two course meal at Lymm (see 2014 Dates for info In addition we ask that you read and observe the dress code to ensure that our visit runs smoothly.

The presentation is back at the Club around 17:00 – 17:30 PLEASE try to be there on time and anyone who cannot attend after the golf let me know beforehand.
