Fishwick Hall In One

Thursday, August 18 2016

So after an agonising wait of 19 long but enjoyable years it finally happend at Fishwick hall Golf Club on Monday 15th of August 2016.

Our mate Justin top golfer and bloke scored the society’s first hole in one during a regular season competition and not on an easy little par 3 either, the 11th hole at Fishwick Hall is a tough 133 yard par 3 which requires a good solid tee shot up to a large raised green – anything short would have been swept away by the steep bank. Judging the pin position is always difficult, (well for most anyway) and if the pin is on the left, which it was, this always needs an extra club for the extra carry.

The large green is difficult to read if you’re one of the mortal golfers among us and lucky enough to even get on the damn thing.

So well done Mr Pickervance and thank you for the whiskey back at the clubhouse.

From every wannabee golfer at the Bridge Inn Golf Society.
