Important Information

Wednesday, July 29 2020

The competition at Woolton Golf Club on Friday the 21st of August will take place, I have spoken to Megan and she told me that it will be golf only at the moment, so the cost will only be £20pp again if anything changes I will bring you up to date as soon as I know.

Megan also sent me the email below regarding checking in on arrival, if you intend playing Woolton I would ask that you read it and follow the instructions to download the app. Listen, I’ve already downloaded it and registered so if a silly old bugger like me can do it then I’m sure everyone else can too!

All other comp information regarding Woolton will be posted at a later date.

Good Morning Alan,

Please can you read through this email and pass it on to your society

Thanks for your booking, we hope you enjoy your round. Please make sure you watch the safety video to ensure you comply with our safety procedure when you arrive at the club during the COVID-19 pandemic. The link to the video is below. There is also a copy of the temporary local rules and clubhouse rules attached for you to read.

It is important during the pandemic that we have contact details for all people playing the golf course,

GoPlaySafe is a new smartphone check-in app which has been adopted by us and other clubs throughout the county to promote safe, speedy, and efficient check-in for our customers during Covid-19 and beyond. It can be downloaded on the App Store or you can get it on Google Play. This will now be our primary method of checking-in all visitors

How does it work?

Once you have downloaded the app and registered, it will recognise you as you arrive at the golf club using our geolocation and ask you to check in. If location is not switched on your phone, then you can simply scan the QR code at various points throughout our golf club. Confirmation of your arrival will be recorded on our database.

The app can be used at all participating golf clubs.

Why are we doing this?

During Covid-19 it is important to maintain social distancing and contactless check-in. We also need to ensure we have accurate details of the people on our course. It is quite simple and will take seconds – and you’ll never have to sign a visitor book again.

What do you need to do?

  • Download the app on either the Apple or Google Play stores. The same app is used at all participating golf clubs
  • Register your details
  • Use your location to check-in automatically on arrival or simply scan one of the QR codes you will see around the club each time you play here
  •  It’s that easy. Your data will not be shared with any third parties, you control your marketing preferences and all data is stored in accordance with GDPR guidelines.

The app makes signing in simple. Sign up to hear from us and you will be the first to receive our special offers and promotions ready for your next visit to our golf club.

We look forward to seeing you at Woolton Golf Club.
